Dan has lived in California since 1997. He used to fly back to Western New York to go on excursions with his Dad. Dan did not have a railcar at his home in Califronia. Dan came to know fellow NARCOA member Wayne Parsons who lived in Simi Valley, about 40 miles from Dan. Wayne was the editor of the Setoff at the time and Dan wrote several articles about excursions for the Setoff. Ironicclaly, Dan first met Wayne in person when they were both in Pennsylvania on a run on the Knox and Kane Railroad in October 2008.
Wayne generously invited Dan to come along on several runs in the western US. Those runs are listed to the left.
